I love this place! The staff is always so helpful. I can always find what I need for my dog here. My dog has a sensitive GI tract and can only eat one brand of food that does not upset his stomach. CountryMax is the only local retailer who carries it. I am so glad. I also find tasty treats for myself and my human friends!🙂 …

The Cicero store manager, Charlie, exemplifies true care when it comes to his customers. What he did this past Wednesday night needs commending this store and manager. I was left with my son's dog who ran out of dog food Wednesday night and in a rush to get to this store by closing-7pm, I panicked as a snow plow was in front of me driving 10 miles below the speed limit. I called the store twice letting them know I was on my way. I got there at 6:58 and Charlie (the manager) said he would have waited for me to get there! What awesome service but even more, what an awesome person! Thanks jl

Love this place. They have the best selection on dog food and treats. The people that work there are always very friendly. And the do it yourself dog bath is awesome.

Went to the Erie blvd store for the first time for cohesive bandages for my dogs tail as he is suffering from hot spots and allergies. Spoke with Erik at checkout who was very friendly and helpful. Gave me other suggestions as far as shampoos and discussed different types of foods that may affect my dogs allergies. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this store. Great products.

Originally I thought this was a small little garden nick nack store. I'd never gone in. Today though I stopped by to eat at Five Guys and decided to have a look around, I was looking for some seeds. Wow this is a huge store and they sell so much more than nick nacks. It is full of garden, farm, equestrian, livestock, local canned foods, canning supplies, gosh they have so much stuff. You can even get dog food and from now in I will. This is a family owned store, though th y do have several locations. I bought several things today including things I needed and things I didn't. Rather than drive out to Tractor Supply from now on I'm going here. It's closer and more fun. The staff were so helpful. Never heard of blue popcorn so I bought a bag. Yummy stuff. Get some, fry it with coconut oil and you'll have yourself a nice snack. Get some more. Seriously though this is a great store and not little by any means.

I just wanted to show my appreciation to the staff at the East Syracuse store on 5/16/2025...as I pulled in after having the worst day, they were locking their doors. The lady let me get food for my dog, making an exception, though being closed. My dog and I are so grateful for the kindness of the staff here and I will be sure to let everyone know that they are compassionate, accommodating and a store worth shopping at. Give those folks a raise!

The only pet store I go to! This is the cheapest place to get any sort of feeders for reptiles (crickets, mice, worms, etc). The people here are always super friendly and I love the environment

For fifteen years, I've been going to CountryMax to buy food and supplies for my horse farm in Manlius. The horse food is rotated to stay fresh and the hay they sell is top-notch. Jeff, who runs the warehouse, is outstanding. Because I buy so much right from the warehouse (in back of the store), I have to give him a special shout-out. He's organized and bright. And he really cares about doing all he can to keep my farm running at its best.

They have one of the best fish rooms in Syracuse better then most of the big chain pet stores. I recently went there for dog food which they also have a good selection and I saw they had a fish room unlike the cicero store that I use because its closer to me. I walked in a they had fish I have never seen before in the hobby. The fish all look heathy and the tanks were clean. If you like fish definitely check them out they are very knowledgeable as well.
